transcript:
out among the sticks, it sits,
like a cage.
between winter and spring,
when soon supple bones are brittle, breaking.
don’t mention blooming flowers,
crumpled petals perfumed with presuppositions.
fragrant, festering, fearful of growth –
frozen, for a time.
